Has anyone ever tried to root a Camelia from a cutting and if so how would you do it?

Layering is the best method but a cutting from a camelia is very easy, but it takes a few months to root..You simply cut off a top at a angle below a node..and put root harmone on it..then stick it in the soil..it will root in time..I have one going now...
